Brochure design Chesham Buckinghamshire, product catalogues, datasheets.
Most businesses use websites, email campaigns and new media to advertise to the world. In spite of the internet though, there is still an important place for well designed technical publications such as brochures, mailers and manuals.
Imagine confronting a board of directors or pitching for an important tender to a new client. If you hand each person a brochure that feels and looks impressive, you will send out a message of confidence and substance. Well designed brochures are easy to read and to scan through, and will give your audience an instant overview of your company and its credentials.
Exhibitions and conferences are also occasions where brochures and leaflets are the most effective way of promoting your business. You have spent a lot of money on the space, and the stand looks great, but you still need to get ‘punters’ to linger on your stand. A brochure will help with an introduction and offers a focal point for communication about individual requirements. Possibly most important of all, the brochure acts as a ‘silent salesman’ representing your company after the prospective customer has left the exhibition.

By understanding how a product or process works, and is used, we are able to help you produce technical manuals, price lists and data sheets that look good are are easy to use.
Rationalising information is a key element in our process. This was very evident on two recent projects. The previously printed pricelists had been poorly designed and the product details had taken up far too much space. In both cases, we managed to dramatically reduce the number of pages, while keeping all the relevant sales information and list prices.
Technical data is our forte and picking up errors is, we feel, part of the job. We always check, and double-check the information. Consistency and how the information is read and responded to, is an important stage in the design process. We are very good at it.

Schematics and diagrams play a valuable role in visually helping to describe a message or result. The relationship between processes and figures, for example, can be understood when it is displayed graphically in a fraction of the time it would take to read descriptive copy.
Various styles include: line drawings, line maps, pie charts, bar charts, schematic diagrams, technical drawings, map diagrams, town and city maps, engineering diagrams, mechanical drawings, flow charts, process drawings, cut-away illustrations, perspective drawings, 3D illustration, air-brush techniques, computer modelling, electronic schematics, wiring diagrams.

Technical tables and lists are very useful in displaying related data. Comparisons and evaluations can be made in a glance, helping to make a decision a lot easier and more accurate.
Consistency is key. We always check the content customers send to us, to make sure it all make sense and is easy to follow. We then work out the best display format to make it clear and easy to read.

What about some pictures! Most people want to see what they are purchasing before they buy. What does it look like? Where are the main features? How will it be installed? All these questions can be answered by carefully shot pictures.
Product photography is a highly specialised skill. Whether it’s a single unit shot or a family range of products, all have to be positioned and balanced to get the right image. Does the shot show all the main product features? Which side is better to photograph? Is it the right orientation to reflect how it is fixed or mounted? All of these points are considered when taking a good shot.

Our experience of technical products and processes has helped us to produce the right copy for our clients; keeping descriptions uniform, helping to break information down into, small, bite-size pieces so that it is easy to read and understand. We can match the style of writing to the character of your business – do you want to come across as formal and correct or relaxed and easy-going? Is it OK to say “we’ve succeeded” or should it be “we have succeeded”?
We make sure that the brochure works as an appropriate sales tool. There are many elements to consider and talk about, such as: company overview, product information, benefits and unique selling points, quality and construction, design and aesthetics, installation and commissioning aids, spare parts, complementary products, costs, case studies, contact details, sales offices/shops, packing, delivery and finally a call to action. All have a very important part to play in instilling confidence and helping to make the sale.
Printing different languages and dealing with the the issues that arise when they take up different amounts of space is another specialist area where have extensive experience. English text can be replaced by overprinting a language onto brochure blanks. Currency and discount variations are other requirements we are very familiar with and can manage with confidence.
