Collecting Cars is an online auction platform for collectible cars, sports cars and vintage automobilia. Boasting Top Gear’s very own Chris Harris in their team, the company launched in 2018 and went on to sell more than 1300 lots in 2020, amounting to a value of £48 million in sales.
During the early stages of their operation, Collecting Cars needed assistance with their sellers guide. This document is sent over to potential private and trade sellers to persuade them to consign. It had to be visually interesting, but to the point; quickly and clearly displaying the benefits of consigning with Collecting Cars. It therefore became a crucial element to support sales generation, especially during the initial months of the business.
What We’ve Done.
Collecting Cars already had established brand guidelines that we needed to adhere to, but this focused mainly around their fonts and colours. We aimed to give the business a complimentary look and feel that could be expanded upon going forward. The document’s theme is based around “a journey”, therefore aerial photos of roads and cars were used, along with bespoke iconography resulting in a professional yet enticing document.
Following the completion of the guide, which can now be seen on the Collecting Cars website itself, we were also assigned to design email templates which were fully responsive across all mobile and desktop devices of various sizes.
