The design was rolled out across the single as three separate versions; Main, Acoustic and Live versions, with the backs of all three designed to fit together and create a journey. The pre-sale sign up for Mountain initially targeted the audience at Sam’s sold-out UK and Ireland tour. We created a set of 14 flyers, personalised to each venue, with unique QR codes and a hand-written message from Sam himself. The Mountain creative was then rolled out across all of Sam’s social channels.
The B-side to “Mountain”, “Fought & Lost ft. Brian May” followed straight after. Being such a stripped back and powerful song, it was agreed that the single design should focus purely on Sam. A stunning portrait photo was taken by Sam’s team, which we artworked into the finished design, complete with Sam’s hand-written text.
