In today’s world, there is a big focus on inspirational quotes. Those that are chosen to motivate us, or to do or feel something positive. They demand an action or a thought, whatever that might be. And with ‘quotes of the day’ (#QOTD) becoming the norm over social media, it is sometimes hard to make an impact in a very busy, fast-paced digital world.
Sharing catchy phrases — spoken by everyone from Albert Einstein to This Is Us patriarch Jack Pearson — has become a go-to form of communication. There are over 5 billion Google search results for “quotes,” 87 million posts with the hashtag #Quotes on Instagram, and dozens of groups dedicated to quotes on Facebook and Twitter.

We all want to know how to get more attention on our posts, or how to increase traffic to our profile, or website… so the big question is: How do you get more hits?
Not everyone creates a #QOTD every day, but how can we compete with the people that do? New content, whether that be a quote, a news article, case study or social media post is key. The latest google algorithms (which we must stress change constantly, just to keep us all on our toes, so this is certainly not a magic spell to make you rank number one on Google) search for new content constantly. And more importantly, this ‘new content’ has to be NEW, high quality and unique… copying an article or linking through from another website can sometimes get you some success, but it is not as effective as NEW, BESPOKE content for you and your business.
So, when you find yourself particularly drawn to a website, it’s important to get curious about what actions led you to that page and also how it makes you feel. They may be pointing to a good opportunity for change – it could lead to the next chapter in your own business…
We would recommend asking yourself the following:
If you felt that it is an example of how ‘to do digital’ well, then…
